SHOW
An improved ECHO command
by Scott Pakin
Problem: DOS's ECHO command is unable to display a
blank line. Additionally, it cannot display
certain characters, such as >, <, and |.
Solution: Scott Pakin's SHOW command.
Description: SHOW is a combination of DOS's ECHO and PR0MPT
commands. That is, SHOW display messages like
ECHO does, but uses all of the meta-strings
that PROMPT does.
Examples: C>show Here is the time --$g $t.
C>show
C>show $l Redirection still works! $g > MSG
